ESPN is reporting that Danica Patrick is nearing the completion of a deal to drive a partial schedule for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide series next year. According to their sources she’ll be running 12-13 Nationwide races for the team in 2010 and may start as early as the ARCA race during Daytona Speedweeks.

Word came out of Tokyo on November 4th that confirmed what many were expected. Toyota will be withdrawing from Formula 1 competition. The Toyota news release cited “… the current severe economic realities” as the reason for their exit from the pinnacle of open wheel motorsports.

Kia Motors Motors America announced today that they will team up with Kinetic Motorsports to bring the Kia Forte Koup to compete in the Street Tuner class in the Koni Challenge next year. Stalwarts Andy Lally and Nic Jonsson have been tapped by Kia and Kinetic to pilot the cars in 2010.
